Representation is very important to a performers advances in exposure and visibility. I have been working for over 20 years as a stand-up comic, and have loved it from the very first joke I ever told. Having dreams of one day walking into a store or restaurant and overhearing someone say: “Hey that’s Derrick Cameron the comedian, he’s hysterical.” And on occasion it happens, and I just smile inside.

 

         The rewards I receive from my career choice are truly amazing. But as some of you know I am truly a very driven person. I remain focused on making a name for myself as a comedian known throughout the world. If things are not going that direction, then I take the necessary steps to get my comedy train back on the tracks.

           So I have decided to be more proactive in my business. DAC Productions has been established since 1994. Which has produced a live cassette recording: In Search Of Joey. Also two Comedy CD’s: The Laugh Heard Round the World, & That is So True. In association with LOYD records, as well as the comedy tour: The Misfits of Comedy.

 

        My new project is: BIG LAUGHS ENTERTAINMENT. My business partner in this venture is actor Vernon Ballesteros.  With his creativity and vision, together we will collaborate on many funny new projects that will entertain and bring Big Laughs to the globe. From writing sitcoms, short films, special appearances, promotions, concerts and bookings. We are both taking control of our careers, and teaming up with other creative visionaries like Solar Pig Productions, which will give us access to  some of the best production crews and state of the art film equipment available.
